And things were going so well...
As most of you know, I had an operation on my back at the end of April last year and I've been delighted with what a difference it has made to my life. It's given me independence and freedom. It's allowed me to do silly things that other people take for granted, like actually being able to carry a shopping bag home from the supermarket or being able to roll over in bed at night. Admittedly, the recovery process is still on-going and some side-effects of the operation remain but overall it's made a marked improvement on my life.
Today I am lying in bed suffering from back pain and unable to move particularly well. I'm supposed to be in work right now. This is the first time in many months that I've had to resort to constant morning to night medication for the pain. As you can probably tell, I am not a happy bunny.
So asides from the painful lower back and sciatic pain there is the insane worry that I'll end up dependent on others, isolated and on incapacity due to an inability to even walk 10 minutes to work, I am extremely bored. Hence this post. In my boredom, I found these amusing insurance claim excerpts and thought I'd share them with you guys. I found them so funny I wa laughing till it hurt (literally).
( Click here for a laugh! )Ah well...that's as much human contact as I'm likely to have for the rest of the daylight hours. Hopefully I'll be able to build the painkillers up enough over the course of the day that I'll still be able to make it to the city centre moot tonight.
Meanwhile, what shall I do to pass the time without moving now...?
